The system was originally developed by 3D Scanners Ltd, and is now marketed by Duncan Hynd Associates (dha). Software is developed in the Medical Physics Department at Cookridge Hospital for dha.
The system can provide up to 300 outlines, all outlines being taken simultaneously as the gantry is rotated around the patient.
On our system the data is then transferred to the treatment plannning computer using FTP via an ethernet link, the ftp server running on the same computer as the PROFA software.
